Why is being a King-Morgridge Scholar important to you?
It matters to me because it represents a commitment to leading with purpose and compassion. Being in the program means learning from others who dare to dream as boldly as I do. For me, it’s reimagining the face of healthcare in my community and worldwide by channeling my skills , education, and using my voice to create lasting change and promoting healthcare equity. It’s the bridge between my current capacity and the impact I know I can make.
Are there specific issues in poverty alleviation or development that you would like to work on or are currently addressing?
I plan on using my nursing degree to bridge gaps in women reproductive healthcare especially conditions that are often overlooked and get late diagnosis such as endometriosis, endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. My goal as a nurse is to provide quality affordable healthcare services through mobile clinics and advocacy to reach all women in remote areas. I hope to ease the physical and financial burden of untreated illness. I aim to be there for many women and girls who have no idea how to deal with their conditions. I wish to be their guiding hand through tough and vulnerable moments.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy watching sitcoms and action series. I do love crocheting too.
