Program Support

The King-Morgridge Scholars Program supports our participants in various ways, including but not limited to the following:

>> A nearly two-week orientation program for each new cohort which is held on-campus in late August prior to scholars starting their first term.

>> Community building among individual cohorts as well as across cohorts that are concurrently enrolled on-campus.

>> Individualized support assisting scholars with their transition to the US and campus life; navigating our institution; and making the most out of their Wisconsin Experience.

>> Facilitating connections to campus resources, such as

  • Learning support services, academic services (including major exploration and advising), and career services,
  • Faculty (appropriate utilization of office hours and research opportunities),
  • Student organizations; leadership, public service, and research opportunities,
  • Physical and mental health services, and
  • International student support and opportunities [International Student Services (ISS), International Academic Programs (IAP), and the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS)].

>> Specialized programming for the King-Morgridge Scholars community.

>> One spring break trip during your sophomore or junior year focused on cultural and historical exploration of the U.S., as well as professional connections and networking opportunities.

>> Travel booking to support for annual trip home, and bringing family members to Madison, WI for graduation.

>> Financial support including payment of tuition and fees, university housing, and SHIP premiums. Managing stipend payments for basic living expenses and expenses for scholars living off-campus.
