1. Are there specific issues in poverty alleviation or development that you would like to work on or are currently addressing?
Education is key to poverty alleviation. It empowers people with skills needed for employment in a growing industry. At my startup, we focus on helping students build in-demand skills to be job-ready in today’s evolving tech and economic landscape.
2. What is a fun fact about your hometown?
Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Empire, was burned by the British during the 1874 Anglo-Ashanti War.
3. Why is being a King-Morgridge Scholar important to you?
As a first-generation student from a low-income background, this scholarship opened doors to new opportunities, allowing me to pursue my goals while making a positive impact on others. It provided me with education, financial support, and a voice to help alleviate poverty. It was truly a pivotal moment in my life and one of the best things that ever happened to me.
4. What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to read, cook, watch movies, listen to music, and hit the gym.
