1. Are there specific issues in poverty alleviation or development that you would like to work on or are currently addressing?
I am interested in addressing issues of economic inequality, access to quality education, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. These areas are crucial in development, impacting long-term social mobility and equitable opportunities for all.
2. What is a fun fact about your hometown?
It’s one of the two capitals in Brazil that is an island.
3. Why is being a King-Morgridge Scholar important to you?
Being a King-Morgridge Scholar is important to me because it allows me to engage with a global community committed to social impact. The program empowers me to develop impactful programs and engage diverse communities.
4. Why is having the King-Morgridge Scholars Program at UW-Madison important to the institution, state, and world?
It strengthens the university’s commitment to diversity, enriches Wisconsin’s connection to global development, and empowers scholars to address challenges worldwide, fostering sustainable solutions that benefit local and international communities.
