1. Why is being a King-Morgridge Scholar important to you?

The King-Morgridge program offers a unique opportunity for driven young people to pursue a high-quality education at one of the prestigious public research universities in the U.S. The network that stems from this program is very strong as each student gets to pursue their unique journey and career knowing that they will be supported by the program and their colleagues.

The King-Morgridge program offers a unique opportunity for driven young people to access state-of-the-art facilities, engage with global experts, and to bring their perspectives to a dynamic and community-engaged campus. The program is most valuable for creating a flourishing community of future leaders, representing diverse regions and academic disciplines, who are driven to turn knowledge to praxis and give back to their communities in multidisciplinary ways.

2. Why is having the King-Morgridge Scholars Program at UW-Madison important to the institution, state, and world?

The King-Morgridge Scholars make a significant contribution to campus diversity, representing a demographic that, without the program, would not be able to afford to attend UW-Madison. The scholars bring unique perspectives and ideas to the community and the classrooms making the campus a richer intellectual space.

In a university that is renowned for its local, national, and global engagement, the King-Morgridge Scholars Program plays an important role in inviting global perspectives to campus and training future ambassadors of the Wisconsin Idea.
