Q and A with Faith

1. You have worked as a peer mentor on campus for many different departments. Can you tell us more about your experience?

Sure! As a Peer Academic Advisor at Cross College Advising Services, I assisted students in navigating their course selections, understanding academic requirements, and connecting them with campus resources to help them achieve their academic goals. Also, I worked at Chadbourne Residential Hall. As a Peer Mentor, I provided guidance and support to first-year students, helping them adjust to college life, offering academic advice, and organizing events to foster a sense of community within the residence hall.

2. Why is having the King-Morgridge Scholars Program at UW-Madison important to the institution, state, and world?

The King-Morgridge Scholars Program provides the institution with much-needed cultural exchange from students from all over the world. Also, King-Morgridge Scholars have previously won grants that were invested in developing their communities. The King-Morgridge Scholars Program provides a forum for the exchange of innovative ideas within the program and in the student body at large.

3. What is your favorite thing about Madison?

My favorite restaurant in Madison is Estacion Inka.

4. What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that keep me both active and relaxed. I love swimming as it helps me stay fit and gives me a sense of peace being in the water. Traveling is another passion of mine; I find exploring new places and experiencing different cultures incredibly enriching. I also enjoy playing board games with friends and family, as it’s a great way to connect and have fun. Finally, I love listening to Afrobeats music—its vibrant rhythms and beats never fail to lift my mood and energize me.
